Position Description Advertised Job Summary Assistant Director for Organizational Conduct Are you passionate about contributing to the quality of students’ growth and development, learning experience, and academic success? Do you have the ability to communicate sensitive information and collaborate with both students and external offices? The Assistant Director is responsible for managing core areas related to primarily organizational misconduct as well as academic, alternative resolution and personal misconduct cases that are brought to the attention of the Office of Student Conduct ( OSC ). The assistant director for organizational conduct will play a vital role in adjudicating cases, organizing educational initiatives and collaborating with the office of fraternity and sorority life, leadership and service center, campus recreation and other campus partners. This role develops and implements programs and initiatives that offer support for students facing student conduct allegations, which may also have legal implications with local or campus police. This role manages an individual case load for incidents on and off campus that may affect student standing in relation to the student code of conduct, student safety and well-being, and/or university policies. Handles incident documentation, discovery, adjudication, and sanctions/action planning Day to Day for this position: Case management Liaison with external departments Serve as an investigator and hearing officer for informal and formal processes related to personal misconduct, academic misconduct and organizational misconduct. Serves as the primary investigator and hearing officer for organization misconduct but will assist and investigate or hear cases within the other areas as well. Provides alternative resolutions to students seeking conflict resolution through mediation or restorative justice. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 40 Job Duty Plans and participates in training for full time staff and graduate student staff. Train Student conduct board and various communities Consults with other hearing officers, faculty and hearing boards on cases. Collaborate with external departments to manage and update the student organization policies, including facilitating the Tucker Hipp Transparency Act.
