Sarah Figueroa Description The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department Key Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, systems, records, and documentation. Update HRIS accurately and consistently. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management. Responsible for verifications of employment sent to HR department. Assist with coding HR related billing. Manage all new hire paperwork, ensure I9s and E-Verify are properly completed. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. Provides administrative support to the HR department. May assist with payroll functions including reporting, processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks. Conducts or assists with new hire orientation and onboarding. Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and retirement celebrations. Greets guests and ensure check-in process is followed. Responsible for answering and routing all company inbound calls Back up for Office Administrator Performs other duties as assigned by management Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING

High school diploma, or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Paylocity experience preferred but not required. Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
