Ashford Industrial Dr, Ashford, AL 36312 The Human Resources Associate provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, assisting with a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, HR compliance, and employee engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a foundational career in human resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following. Assist with recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications. Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, managing background checks, and ensuring completion of new hire documentation. Maintain and update employee records and ensure data accuracy in the HR Information System (HRIS). Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner. Support HR projects and programs such as performance reviews, training coordination, employee engagement activities, and compliance audits. Assist in organizing and maintaining confidential personnel files. Help prepare HR reports and metrics as requested by leadership. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the HR department. Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an HR or office setting. Familiarity with basic HR concepts and employment laws is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Physical Demands Long periods of sitting at a computer is required.
