Birmingham Overview:

The UAB Heersink School of Medicine Office of Wellness is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Wellness Specialist to join our team. This part-time position plays a vital role in supporting the well-being of the UAB Medicine community through individual and group therapeutic conversations, advising, and engagement. The Wellness Specialist will meet with clients both virtually and in person, with a goal of conducting 10-12 sessions per week. In addition to direct support, this role involves developing educational content, leading presentations, and facilitating discussions tailored to the needs of learners, faculty, and other employees across UAB Medicine. The specialist will collaborate closely with colleagues in the Office of Wellness to assist leaders in residency, fellowship, and medical student programs. This role is an integral member of the Wellness Support Services team and participates in regular team activities, including monthly meetings and broader wellness initiatives.

Required Qualifications Required Qualifications Education:

PhD in Psychology (licensed or license-eligible in Alabama)
