As a Human Resources Generalist, you will perform a variety of HR generalist functions in support of the field HR Director. You will provide expertise and solutions in the areas of employee relations, recruiting, training, employment practice, performance management, compensation and legal compliance. You’ll work collaboratively under the direction of the HR Director in delivering programs that foster HR excellence and continuous improvement.•This person will support the Southern US States•What you’ll do:
Research and suggest implementation of HR best practiceProactively work with employees and managers to address workplace issues/concernsReview and make recommendations on performance issues, FMLA, and worker’s compPartner with department managers by providing guidance and support that will enable and foster achievement of department goalsPromote employee engagement survey, provide guidance to management reviewing results and developing and implementing action plans to drive improvement in opportunity areasPromote involvement and activities in support of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)Work with HR Director on leadership and succession planning initiatives as well as other training and development initiativesDeliver HR related content to managers and employees, such as performance management, career development, new HR programs, etc.
Support Corporate HR in facilitating the annual performance and compensation processProvide guidance to managers, in conjunction with corporate compensation in making recommendations for merit and bonusOther duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferredMasters Degree preferredAbility to learn and apply broad generalist subject matters of all facets of HR, including employee relations and employment practicesAbility to conduct workplace investigations and able to work in a confidential and discrete mannerStrong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to present to all levels within the organizationTechnical HR knowledge – EEO/AA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, ADA, federal/local laws; plus strong working knowledge of positive employee relations as well as disciplinary processesExcellent assessment and interviewing skillsStrong interpersonal/influencing skillsAbility to both collaborate and lead on projectsProficiency in computer skills Outlook, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, HRIS/payroll systems (preferably Workday experience), Canva50-60% travel to include air and car, over and multi-night stayWhy join us?
