The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management. This position requires a strong understanding of HR practices and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization. Duties Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating onboarding. Job is approximately 50% recruiting and 50% HR clerical administration. Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide effective solutions. Utilize HR software for tracking employee data and streamlining HR processes. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations. Provide support in employee relations matters, addressing concerns and facilitating conflict resolution. Collaborate with management on performance management processes, including evaluations and feedback sessions. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information. Responsible for HR administrative duties required for processing new hires, data input, and maintaining accurate employee records. Familiarity with I-9 verification process is very important. Skills Minimum of 5 years prior HR recruiting and clerical administrative experience in fast-paced industrial environment supporting 24/7 distribution operation. Strong interviewing skills with the ability to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience and potential fit accurately. Experience recruiting “blue collar” positions including local truck drivers, maintenance mechanics, forklift operators, order pickers and operations clerks. Must understand the importance of timely, accurate HR processing. Must insure that employee files and related items are maintained accurately on a current basis. Must have great attention to detail in all aspects of this job. Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide array of individuals, including both existing employees and incoming applicants Familiarity with Sage HR software or similar HR software is a major advantage Must be computer literate to maintain Excel spreadsheets for various items such as group insurance and employee wellness compliance tracking. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
