West & Company is seeking a HR Generalist with a background in unemployment claims for a full-time role in Creola, Alabama. This is a long-term opportunity with benefits and a Monday – Friday schedule. Duties and responsibilities Perform E-Verify for all new hires Send out weekly reports for new hires Process employee separation notices, scan into appropriate electronic filing system, and update separations spreadsheet Review unemployment insurance claims and related documents for eligibility, accuracy, and compliance with state and federal regulations Respond to correspondence from claimants and employers regarding claim determinations, overpayments, and appeals processes Analyze and compile data related to unemployment insurance programs, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records Send out weekly no check reports Support other HR employees as needed Other duties as assigned Requirements Must have a high school diploma or GED Must have at least 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in human resources Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel Must be willing to consent to a background check and random drug screening G.A.
