POSITION SUMMARY
We are conducting a confidential search for a newly created HR Generalist position based onsite in near Sylacauga area. This role will support day-to-day HR operations and partner closely with both leadership and frontline employees. It’s an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, adaptable HR professional looking to grow within a fast-paced and evolving organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a key point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits. Support full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation. Coordinate performance management, employee documentation, and disciplinary processes. Partner with the HR Manager on business needs, employee relations, and HR strategy. Maintain personnel records and ensure data accuracy in the HRIS system. Track and support HR metrics and compliance with legal postings and documentation. Process routine payroll updates and support workers’ compensation claims. Support OSHA and safety compliance in partnership with leadership. Assist in policy and training implementation across the site. Perform additional duties as requested
SKILLLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration preferred. Relevant experience in HR and/or Benefits could replace the need for the degree. A plus in SHRM-CP or
HRCI-PHR
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Three or more years of experience in HR or employee recruitment Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations. Specifically, FLSA, FMLA, and ADA laws and regulations. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. High Attention to detail and accuracy. Teamwork – Develops cooperation and teamwork while participating in a group, working toward solutions which generally benefit all involved parties. Comfortable handling highly confidential information. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment. Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish or Vietnamese.
