Job Description
Arisa Health is seeking candidates to fill a Drug and Alcohol Safety Education Program (DASEP) Specialist. The person who fills this position will be providing substance abuse education and serving the court system. Candidates should have experience in the psychology or criminal justice field. Experience working with substance abuse treatment is preferred. A high school diploma is required. An Associate’s degree is preferred. Candidates must be proficient with computers including Microsoft Word and Excel programs, and must have excellent communication skills. The ability to address individuals as well as groups is required. Some travel is required. Candidates must be able to facilitate educational classes and interact in virtual (Zoom) or in-person classrooms. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred. Arisa Health is Arkansas’ largest and most comprehensive nonprofit behavioral health provider. Formed by the affiliation of 4 long-standing Arkansas community mental health centers, Arisa Health leads with exceptional care that nurtures health and well-being for all. Arisa provides outpatient services, Crisis services and emergency screening, substance abuse counseling, intensive children services, intensive adult services, medical services, and residential services in 41 Arkansas counties.
Work Hours:
Full time, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. What you will do as a
DASEP Specialist:
Responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing and training volunteers in their assigned counties to serve as advocates Assist volunteers in all aspects of advocacy Should have considerable knowledge of community resources and services available to children and families Complete appropriate records and documentation.
