Human Resource Generalist Reports To:

Chief Financial Office(CFO) The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, workers compensation, benefits administration, ACA compliance, recruitment, compliance, and H2A program oversight. This role requires strong judgment and the ability to manage complex and sensitive issues professionally, tactfully, and strategically. Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Hiring Develop and place recruitment ads; screen resumes; and conduct phone screens. Oversee all hiring procedures and new hire paperwork. Enter new hires & rehires into Paylocity. Process all terminations and any changes in Paylocity. Employee Relations Provide oversight of employee relations issues including hiring, terminations, performance issues, complaints, written warnings, and disciplinary actions. Investigate and resolve employee complaints. Benefit Administration Maintain employee benefit programs and administer medical, dental, and 401K plans. Oversee ACA compliance and offer benefits to newly benefits eligible employees. Compliance & Legal Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws such as the FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc Maintain federally mandated OSHA logs for workplace injury reporting. Ensure labor law compliance at state and federal levels for all companies. Enforce sexual harassment compliance protocols Maintain updated job descriptions, job requirements, and company handbooks. Ensure all employment legislation and HR practices are followed appropriately. Workers’ Compensation Track and manage workers’ compensation claims. H2A Program Administration Experience with H2A is a plus; willing to train the right candidate. Requirements 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources. Proven track record in recruitment and staffing. Ability to manage sensitive and complex employee issues with professionalism and discretion. Must be willing to travel when required. Experience with Paylocity is a plus. SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
