Summary/Objective The Corporate HR Generalist will assist in the daily operational and administrative activities of the Human Resources department, assisting with the administration of all Company policies, procedures, and programs. The Corporate HR Generalist will partner with organizational leaders on talent recruiting, onboarding, development, and engagement. Essential Functions + Ability to help develop, implement, support, and review all HR department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems. + Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs. + Continued involvement in and refinement of the recruitment process, including generating job descriptions, posting advertisements, organize/attend job fairs, recruitment events and managing the hiring process. + Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g., social platforms and professional networks) + Plan, interview, and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, and in-person interviews. + Devise, implement and lead sourcing strategies, such as employer branding initiatives, to build pipelines for potential applicants. + Create and implement end-to-end hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates. + Form close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear expectations for candidates and interviewers. + Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates; create/lead AMPORTS Alumni Group + Cultivate training and development programs. + Participate in performance evaluation processes. + Administrative duties, including upkeep of employee records (EEO data, training records, etc.) + Compliance with all policies and legal requirements + Searching for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher productivity and safety among staff + Identifying future training needs and creating a curriculum to facilitate that training + Resolving any specific problems and tailoring training programs as necessary + Other duties as assigned. Competencies + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Strategic development skills to develop and evaluate onboarding plans. + Leadership and instructional aptitudes needed to provide training and oversight on policies and procedures. + Strong analytical and reporting skills + Familiarity with employment laws and regulations for the industry + Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of HRMS + Exceptional organizational and time-management skills + Aptitude for critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision making. + Familiarity with modern and traditional training methods + Excellent leadership and motivational skills + Ability to plan, manage time and multitask effectively + Understanding of HR processes and talent acquisition trends + Exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with potential candidates + Familiarity with applicant tracking software + Excellent time management skills, public speaking skills, problem-solving skills and both verbal and written communication skills Supervisory Responsibility No direct reports. Work Environment This job operates in an office environment with site visits to Port locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work is primarily Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require overtime. Travel Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air. Required Education and Experience + Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources management or similar field + Successful work experience as a Human Resources Specialist or other HR position + Strong working knowledge of HR functions and procedures (e.g., compensation and benefits, recruitment, training, and development) + Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Preferred Education and Experience + Professional credential, such as

PHR, SHRM-CP

+ Proficiency with social media, CV databases, and professional networks + Experience using online sources (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) to proactively source candidates Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Card).
