POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This role will primarily focus on managing and administering employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate and timely benefit deductions, coordinating 403(b) contributions, and supporting the recruitment and onboarding process. The HR Generalist will also be responsible for reconciling benefits invoices and ensuring timely submission to the Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of benefits administration, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing positive employee experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Benefits Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee benefit inquiries, providing clear and timely information regarding coverage, eligibility, and enrollment. Manage the administration of employee benefits through the ICUBA/Bswift system, including entering and updating benefit deduction changes accurately and promptly. Become a super user of all benefit systems including BSwift/ICUBA/Ellucian and TIAA enrollment site. Reconcile monthly benefit invoices, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely submission to the Finance Department. Monitor benefits enrollment deadlines, including reaching out to employees approaching their final eligibility window to ensure timely enrollment. Facilitate and lead new hire orientation sessions, with a strong emphasis on educating employees about available benefits and enrollment procedures. Develop and launch a Seniority Thank You Program to recognize employee milestones and years of service. Recruitment Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates, remove applicants who do not meet minimum qualifications prior to adding them to the recruitment file for hiring manager review Create offer letters and contracts for all staff and faculty to be reviewed by Executive Director, Human Resources Reporting Generate regular HR reports related to benefits, recruitment metrics, turnover, headcount, and other key HR indicators. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all HR systems, particularly related to employee benefits, deductions, and new hire records. Track and report on recruitment activity, time-to-fill metrics, and source effectiveness Support compliance with EEO, ACA, and other labor regulations by preparing required reports and documentation Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience Required:

Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred Must have a minimum of 4 years of benefit experience within an HR office setting Must have a minimum of 4 years of human resources experience
