Job Title:

HR Generalist Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR & Payroll Administrator to manage day-to-day HR operations, support employee engagement, and oversee bi-weekly payroll processing. This role ensures compliance with employment laws and internal policies while fostering a positive work environment for our growing team across multiple state locations. Responsibilities + Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and managers. + Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data, including onboarding, offboarding, and changes, in BambooHR. + Coordinate recruitment processes, bckgrnd checks, and new hire orientations. + Administer benefits enrollment, changes, and annual open enrollment in coordination with benefit brokers. + Track vacation, PTO, and leave-of-absence requests. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. + Support performance review and training processes. + Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time using Bamboo Payroll. + Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, wage adjustments, bonuses, and deductions. + Ensure payroll tax compliance and coordinate with finance on reporting and reconciliations. + Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies. + Support financial and insurance audits throughout the year. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in HR administration and payroll processing. + Knowledge of federal, Florida, Texas, and other state employment laws and payroll tax regulations. + Experience with payroll and HRIS systems such as Bamboo, QuickBooks Payroll, ADP, or similar. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. + Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus. Work Environment The position is based in an office and manufacturing environment, offering some flexibility for potential remote days or hybrid options. The plant operates on a 4×10 schedule, allowing Friday as a potential hybrid option for this HR role. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 – $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
