Human Resources Generalist Job Description The HR Generalist will support key Human Resources functions with a strong focus on employee relations, compliance, performance management, and daily HR operations. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns and workplace conduct issues. Support HR Director in conducting internal investigations and document findings with appropriate follow-up. Ensure consistent and fair application of company policies and procedures. Support policy updates and training in alignment with current labor laws and organizational standards. Ensure the organization has all compliance and labor law displayed on-site and accessible online for all remote agents. Assist managers with performance reviews, improvement plans, and ongoing coaching. Track and respond to issues related to attendance, productivity, and policy adherence. Partner with leadership to foster high-performing, accountable teams. Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS and Google Drive and update records regularly. Generate reports and track trends in attendance, turnover, and employee relations. Manage and audit I9 documentation and keep all employee files up to date. Coordinate and track employee leave requests, including FMLA and medical accommodations. Facilitate annual Benefit Enrollment Process. Provide guidance to employees on available benefits and time off policies. Ensure proper tracking of unpaid leave and coordinate with payroll accordingly. Essential Skills 3-5 years of progressive HR generalist experience. Strong knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and state-specific regulations. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience in healthcare, insurance, or high-volume call center environments preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Sound judgment and professional discretion. Work Environment This is an onsite role for a proactive, hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment and is confident navigating complex and sensitive workplace matters. The schedule is Monday-Friday with weekends as needed during our Enrollment Periods, including nights and weekends. Travel requirements are less than 5%, with occasional offsite meetings or training.
