II JOB PURPOSE

: The People Partner I will support key People Operations functions, with a focus on payroll and benefits administration, people analytics, and departmental project execution. This role will partner with organizational leaders and employees to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, benefit enrollments, and compliance with applicable regulations. While the role will provide general support across People Operations, its primary focus is operational execution and employee support tied to compensation delivery, benefits programs, and data analysis. This position will also support the team’s transition from an HR to a people operations model by leveraging systems, data, and consistent service delivery practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll and Benefits Administration:

Coordinate the biweekly payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of employee hours, deductions, and adjustments in partnership with the ADP payroll team. Perform payroll audits and collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to address discrepancies and maintain accurate employee records. Administer benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations; serve as a primary point of contact for employees on benefits-related inquiries. Assist in the open enrollment process, including communications, vendor coordination, and system updates. Support the reconciliation of benefits invoices and ensure accuracy of vendor payments and deductions. Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to payroll and benefits.

People Analytics :

Develop and implement People Operations analytics strategies and methodologies to drive data-driven decision-making. Collect, analyze, and interpret People Operations data and metrics to provide valuable insights and recommendations for People Operations and business leaders. Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate key findings and trends to stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for People Operations process improvements and strategic workforce planning.

Talent Acquisition :

Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, create job descriptions, and develop effective sourcing strategies. Utilize various recruitment channels and tools to attract top talent and ensure a diverse candidate pool. Conduct interviews, assess candidates’ qualifications, and make recommendations for selection. Coordinate the onboarding process, including conducting orientations and facilitating a smooth transition for new employees.

Streamlined People Operations Functions :

Provide limited employee relations support by documenting basic inquiries and escalating complex matters to senior People Operations team members. Serve as a point of contact for general performance management process questions but will not drive performance cycle planning or documentation. Support compensation processes through data gathering and job description maintenance but will not lead salary benchmarking or merit planning.

People Operations Project Management :

Assist in departmental initiatives including technology enhancements, compliance audits, wellness programming, and communication planning. Track project milestones and coordinate tasks with internal stakeholders and vendors.

Employee Experience and Engagement :

Support initiatives that enhance employee experience, including recognition programs, surveys, and culture-building activities. Assist in the development and communication of engagement strategies aligned with organizational goals. Act as a liaison between employees and People Operations to ensure a positive workplace environment.

HRIS and Record Management :

Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Generate standard and ad-hoc reports from the HRIS system to support business needs. Support system audits and partner with IT or vendors for improvements or issue resolution.

Onboarding and Retention :

Coordinate new hire onboarding activities and ensure a smooth transition into the organization. Monitor onboarding feedback and identify areas for process improvement. Assist in retention-related initiatives, including stay interviews and exit process tracking.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES N/A QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Education and Licensure Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, with a focus on people analytics. Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, employment laws and regulations. Proficiency in HRIS systems and advanced skills in People Operations data analytics and reporting tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels. Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Professional HR certifications (e.g.

SHRM/PHR

) a plus. Experience using ADP Workforce Now (WFN). Experience using SharePoint and Confluence. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
