Big Bend Hospice, a mission-driven non-profit dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Recruitment Specialist to lead our recruitment efforts. This role involves connecting with candidates, screening applications, and collaborating with hiring managers to fill vacancies efficiently. The specialist will also support HR functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for all recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, and screening. Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement effective recruiting strategies. Draft and post job advertisements on HRIS, job boards, and career-specific platforms. Screen applications, conduct pre-screening interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers for interviews and offer processes. Track recruitment metrics and prepare monthly reports on hiring efforts and vacancy challenges. Support onboarding, benefits administration, Workers’ Compensation, and other HR programs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices. Participate in career fairs and distribute weekly internal vacancy announcements. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. At least two years of experience in all phases of recruitment and hiring preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with applicant-tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of employment laws and recruitment best practices. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities. Preferred Qualifications PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
