POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for processing and coordinating reservations, bed Assignments for admissions and transfers. Serves as a liaison and resource for physicians, physician’s office staff, nursing, ancillary departments and registration staff.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Well versed in medical terminology, hospital service, accommodation codes, policies and procedures.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain an excellent rapport with patients, visitors, medical staff, nursing and non-clinical staff in all situations.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma required.
Some medical terminology and business courses preferred.
TRAINING
Three months of on-the-job training with previous registration and/or related experience
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Proficiency in spelling, grammar, medical terminology and computer skills.
Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress.
Able to continuously prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyAble to communicate effectively and maintain an excellent rapport with patients, visitors, medical staff, nursing, non-clinical staff, and coworkers in all situations.
