We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented HR/Payroll Generalist to join our team in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in human resources with a strong focus on payroll, compliance, and employee relations. This role is perfect for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing a broad range of HR functions.
Responsibilities:
Manage and process bi-weekly payroll ensuring accuracy and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations Administer employee benefits, leave policies, and compensation programs Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations and HR policy questions Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems Support recruitment efforts including onboarding, background checks, and new hire orientations Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies Assist with performance management processes and training initiatives Conduct audits of HR and payroll processes and recommend improvements Partner with finance on payroll reconciliation and reporting
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR and payroll experience Strong knowledge of employment laws and payroll regulations Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Paychex, etc.) Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
