Job Description:

Nation Security is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused, organized, and proactive HR professional who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As the HR Generalist, you will play a key role in recruiting, onboarding employees, coordinating payroll, and managing day-to-day HR operations. You will help support a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policies. While experience in bookkeeping or accounting is appreciated, it is not required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Duties (Primary): Manage full-cycle recruitment: job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS data. Assist with employee relations matters and performance documentation. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies. Support internal HR communications and employee engagement initiatives. Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters. Optional/Preferred (Not Required): Basic understanding of bookkeeping functions (e.g., AP/AR, reconciliations) is a plus. Familiarity with QuickBooks or accounting systems is helpful but not necessary.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in Human Resources, recruiting, or related HR support roles. Working knowledge of HR practices, employment regulations, and compliance standards. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills. Proficiency with ADP; experience with HR software or payroll systems is a plus.
