JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the development, delivery, facilitation, and measurement of training within assigned areas of responsibility. Consults with leaders in assigned client divisions and provides impactful learning experiences and resources to build individual, team, and leadership competence and confidence. Maintains ownership of orientation and onboarding processes and initiatives. Serves as a functional field administrator for the Learning Management System.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Researches, designs and develops new training programs and materials. Ensures training manuals are updated, relevant and support current Standard Operating Procedures. Creates training processes for operators to support specific needs based upon analysis of operating unit. Incorporates measurement and assessment tools to support all training. Analyzes trends, identifies gaps and uses UO metrics and measures (GSAT, TSAT, turnover %, performance management data, etc.) to develop targeted training plans based upon findings. Advises business partners in proper allocation of training resources.
Build and coach a high performing Talent Development Team. Provides performance feedback to direct and indirect reports. Creates development plans and ensures direct reports are meeting goals and objectives. Works directly with the Talent Development trainers to develop communication, consulting skills and client support skills. Communicate trends and observations to senior leaders in the operation and Talent Development.
Maintains, executes, and manages the following LMS systems scope (not all inclusive): uploading of curriculum; develop, maintain, and update course catalog, notifications, training profiles and assessments; hierarchy development, designation, and enrollment of learners and learner groups; manage waitlist and reschedules; maintain information for facilities; equipment and other resources; schedule learning activities and programs; administer certifications.
Partners and supports client groups with special events and inititatives. Delivers and facilitates structured training and development processes and initiatives in support of the company’s training plan, objectives and brand essence. Conducts refresher training, awareness training, new hire orientation and pertinent departmental training.
Serves as first tier of technical and functional end user support for UO Learning Management System.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Human Resources, Instructional Design or related field required.
EXPERIENCE
3+ years experience in training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
