Job Summary:

The Employee Relations Team provides mentorship to leadership and employees on company policy, practices, and state/federal employment laws. We conduct internal workplace investigations, and handle employee performance issues. You will be encouraged to support the team in these activities. Duties include counselling managers and employees, conducting internal workplace investigations, crafting and facilitating employee training sessions, drafting employee discipline and performance management documents, and project work to support the goals and objectives of the Employee Relations team. What Will You Do? Providing guidance and services specific to advancing investigations, communicating policies and practices, and advising on workplace matters. Enhancing the employee experience by engaging with leaders and employees during critical moments in the life cycle of the employment relationship such as workplace concerns. Assisting with implementing company-wide strategies to enable decisions that are consistent with company policies, values & culture. Integrating with key partners to drive solutions that promote inclusion, employee engagement, and business results. Promote knowledge and understanding amongst leaders and employees regarding company policies, Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) through employee outreach, coaching, presentations, and training. Conduct timely, objective, and thorough internal investigations including but not limited to allegations of inappropriate conduct, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. Maintain detailed and accurate accounts of investigations with timely memorialization of notes and supporting documents into the case management system. Communicate investigation outcomes to employees. Support the Employee Relations team in reviewing ER data/metrics for themes, trends, and root cause identification. Assist with sharing findings with key partners in order to develop and deliver an integrated plan that links to organization and people strategies, helping to advance the deliverables and priorities of the company. Collaborate with clients and key stakeholders on performance and change management solutions. Facilitate training and support project work as needed.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

3 years or more of strong experience conducting investigations in a professional level role. Critical thinker, with demonstrated experience supporting implementation of Company initiatives at an operational level. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, where reactive actions might be necessary. Ability to establish and nurture collaborative and inclusive workplace relationships, and approach work with a sense of strong compassion and empathy. A catalyst for team engagement and cross-functional integration when delivering against the work. Ability to analyze data, trends, and insights to identify the root cause of the event. Demonstrated experience in consulting and/or delivering solution recommendations. Strong conflict resolution skills.

Strong presentation skills:

must be able to confidently make recommendations to HR partners and senior business leaders. Ability to manage high priority demands. Strong organization and time management skills. Able to prioritize workload and support projects against strict deadlines. Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential situations with objectivity.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources, or related field and/or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual speaking/writing Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements Background in disability management. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state laws / regulations (including but not limited to Title VII, ADA, ADAAA and FMLA).
