Job Overview:

The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting and improving HR functions, with a strong focus on compliance with employment regulations, HR policy administration, and employee documentation. This role will manage HR-related administrative processes, help streamline manual workflows, and serve as a key resource for employees. This individual will coordinate with external payroll and benefits providers as needed and ensure HRIS data accuracy. Previous experience with ADP is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Compliance & Policy Administration Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with relevant regulations, laws and company standards. Maintain and update the employee handbook and other policy documents. Assist in handling employee relations matters and escalate issues as needed. Support managers and employees with HR-related inquiries, ensuring clarity and consistency. HR Documentation & Administrative Support Manage and maintain employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation. Oversee new hire paperwork, including I-9s, W-4s, and other onboarding documentation. Assist with offboarding processes, including exit interviews and final documentation. Ensure proper documentation and tracking of employee status changes (promotions, terminations, etc.). HR Systems & Process Management Maintain and update HRIS (ADP) with employee data, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Generate HR reports, track key metrics, and support HR-related audits. Identify opportunities to improve manual processes and suggest automation where possible. Recruiting & Onboarding Support Assist with job postings, candidate communication, and interview coordination. Facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a smooth transition. Partner with hiring managers to support recruitment needs. Training and Development Assist in identifying training needs across the organization. Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs, compliance training, and development workshops. Maintain records of completed training and ensure employees meet required training standards. Support managers in providing coaching and development resources for their teams. General HR Support Serve as the point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees. Coordinate training sessions and company-wide HR initiatives. Support performance management processes and employee development programs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR compliance and policy administration, including familiarity with relevant employment regulations. Minimum of 4 years of experience managing HR documentation and administrative support. Minimum of 4 years of experience using HRIS systems, specifically ADP. Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting recruiting and onboarding processes. Minimum of 4 years of experience coordinating or supporting training and development programs. Minimum of 4 years of experience providing general HR support, including employee relations and performance management. Previous experience working with the ADP payroll/HRIS system. Previous experience working in a smaller company environment with manual processes is strongly preferred. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and employees.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Capability to occasionally lift and carry office supplies or packages weighing up to 25 lbs. Ability to travel between company locations within Florida. Frequent use of a computer and other office equipment such as phones, copiers, and printers.
