This role encompasses the day-to-day management of benefits, leave of absence coordination, ensuring adherence to pertinent regulations, and delivering essential assistance to employees concerning their benefits inquiries and requirements. Key responsibilities encompass benefits program oversight, leave of absence administration, employee assistance, efficient communication, reporting, and problem resolution.
Essential Functions:
Benefits Administration:
Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other offerings. Collaborate with external vendors to manage enrollment, claims processing, and benefit plan changes. Maintain accurate records of employee benefits participation and eligibility. Track benefit elections, log and collect dependent eligibility documents as needed.
Compliance and Reporting:
Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure benefits programs remain in compliance. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies as necessary. Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of benefits data.
Leave Administration:
Administer and coordinate various types of leaves, including but not limited to medical leaves, family and medical leaves, maternity/paternity leaves, and personal leaves. Process leave requests, documentation, and approvals, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant federal and state regulations. Maintain accurate and organized records of leave requests, approvals, and durations. Generate reports related to leave utilization, trends, and compliance. Analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance the leave management process.
Payroll:
Input the accurate calculation and processing of employee payroll benefit deductions, including health insurance, retirement contributions, and other voluntary deductions. Review and reconcile payroll reports to verify the correctness of benefit deductions, addressing any discrepancies promptly. Assist in the preparation of documentation and reports for audits, ensuring all relevant records related to benefit deductions are readily available for inspection. Collaborate with payroll and HRIS teams to streamline and automate benefit deduction processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy.
Employee Support:
Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding their benefits inquiries, providing guidance and assistance. Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new hires to explain available options and assist with enrollment. Provide ongoing education and communication to employees about benefits programs, updates, and changes.
Communication:
Develop and distribute communication materials related to benefits programs, including open enrollment materials and updates. Organize and lead employee meetings or presentations on benefits-related topics.
Problem Resolution:

Education:
