The HR Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the HR department by managing various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions. The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for performing HR-related duties in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance.

Human Resource Coordinator Responsibilities:

Maintain employee records and ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation. Handle onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the facility. Administer employee benefits programs and assist with benefits enrollment and questions. Support employee relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner. Coordinate training and development programs to support staff growth and compliance. Manage payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payroll submission. Assist with compliance and regulatory requirements, including maintaining confidentiality and data protection. Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed. Reports, maintains and monitors Workers’ Compensation, LOA, FMLA cases. Processes unemployment claims – attends unemployment hearings, if needed. Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.

Human Resource Coordinator Qualifications:

2+ years’ experience in Human Resources. Previous experience in an HR role, preferably within a healthcare or skilled nursing environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
