out of 5 stars 3301 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33406 HRIS/Payroll Specialist Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HRIS/Payroll Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for managing employee data within our HRIS system and overseeing payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations. Key Responsibilities:
HRIS Responsibilities:

Maintain and update employee records in the SAP, including new hires, separations, pay changes, and organizational adjustments. Conduct regular audits of employee data to ensure accuracy and integrity. Generate reports and analytics on HR metrics and payroll data to support management decision-making. Collaborate with IT to enhance HRIS functionality and troubleshoot system issues. Partner with recruitment teams to facilitate effective onboarding processes.

Payroll Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including wage calculations, deductions, and adjustments. Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll taxes and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Prepare and file necessary payroll reports and documentation, including W-2s. Perform payroll reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy. Serve as a point of contact for payroll inquiries from employees, providing guidance and support.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 4 years of experience in HRIS, preferably SAP, and payroll processing with proficiency in HRIS applications. Strong analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with payroll software is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality. Employment Guidelines Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of work experience and formal education. Four years’ experience in HRIS/Payroll systems with a focus on HRIS applications. Four (4) years working knowledge of complex automated payroll systems and accounting and record keeping experience highly desirable. May be filled at the HR Professional Staff Level Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience that demonstrated latitude for decision making. Experience using appropriate technology and HR information systems. License Valid State of Florida Driver’s License. Physical Requirements/ Working Environment Due to the District’s response role and in the total scope of emergency management, this position may at times, be required to provide support before, during and after major storm events and emergency situations, such as hurricanes or other declared emergencies, depending on assigned emergency response role.
