Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in St. Pete Beach, Florida. This long-term contract role is an excellent opportunity to work within the non-profit sector, providing comprehensive human resources support. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three years of HR experience, preferably within government or public sector environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee recruitment activities, including developing interview questions, facilitating interview panels, and ensuring a fair hiring process.
  • Prepare and extend offer letters, order background checks, and complete E-Verify processes in compliance with training.
  • Manage benefits administration, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and supplemental coverage.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records by scanning and indexing documents using Laserfiche software.
  • Collaborate with finance staff to support payroll functions on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Perform data entry and administrative tasks to ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes to provide a seamless and thorough experience for new hires.
  • Utilize advanced HR software tools, including NeoGov and other benefit administration platforms.
  • Take on additional HR-related tasks as needed to support the organization. Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least three years of relevant HR experience.
  • Proficiency in HR software such as NeoGov, benefit administration portals, and payroll systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and other spreadsheet tools.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements, including E-Verify and FMLA regulations.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and hiring processes.
  • HR certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Familiarity with government reporting and recordkeeping standards is a plus.
