THE POSITION
This position will require the use of a working knowledge of applicable employment laws and HR best practices. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for processing and supporting human resources information, procedures, performance management, recruiting, onboarding and HR systems in support of the Human Resources Team, and all Goodwill Manasota team members. In conjunction with the HR Business Partners, HR Systems and Payroll Manager, Total Rewards Manager, and the VP of HR, works to create and maintain well-organized and effective HR services. The position administers a variety of initiatives that contribute to the retention and job satisfaction of Goodwill team members. As the Human Resources Generalist, you will: Provide guidance relating to performance management for the HR team and organizational leaders. Support with data input and data integrity in our HR information systems and participates in company-wide Human Resource projects. Support with the drafting of miscellaneous communication for appropriate Human Resources announcements, SOPs, workflows, and reports relevant to Employee Relations, Performance Management, Compensation, and census data Manage, prepare, and maintain accurate personnel files in accordance with applicable statutes and accreditation requirements. Manage compliance of personnel files in partnership with the HR Systems & Payroll Manager and ensures the integrity of workflows and associated filing Oversee Unemployment Benefit activity for the organization.

THE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline preferred or a combination of HR experience and education A minimum of 5 or more years experience with handling employee relations, investigations and managing complex employee issues, and conflict resolution. Windows Operating System, HRMS; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Publisher and Outlook Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills including interacting with senior leaders. PHR or SPHR certification is preferred

This position is safety-sensitive and requires drug testing Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends Incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage, and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout the assigned territory.
