Woodstock, Georgia Summary:
Pegasus is seeking an experienced HR Generalist with strong recruitment and employee relations skills. Recruiting will comprise the greatest portion of the duties of this position, but the Generalist must also be able to provide support for a variety of HR functions including assisting managers with employee relations / discipline, compliance, benefit administration, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Posting, advertising, and actively seeking candidates with specific qualifications needed to fulfill roles for contracts and contract bids Searching databases, reviewing resumes, and reaching out to potential candidates Creating and maintaining a database of possible sources and candidates Preparing and maintaining job descriptions and postings Screening, evaluating, and recommending applicants to management for current openings and to Business Development for contract bids Ensuring compliance with the company’s applicant tracking system Assisting with employee relations to include answering employee questions, resolving employee issues in conjunction with management, and handling employee disciplinary actions and investigations Advising managers on policy and procedures, including interpretation of collective bargaining agreements
Skills and Specifications:
Resourcefulness and the ability to be creative in finding necessary personnel Ability to research, evaluate, and analyze new recruitment techniques, methods, and procedures Thoroughness and attention to detail Great degree of initiative and pride in work Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills (comfortable reaching out to and speaking with employees, candidates, managers, and other recruiters) Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to work alone with little supervision on a broad variety of projects, but also work well as part of the HR team Ability to exercise effective judgment and sensitivity to changing needs and situations Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with sensitive information / conversations Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people at all levels.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Specialization in Human Resources or Business preferred) Strong recruiting experience Minimum of five years’ experience in HR At least two years’ experience with employee disciplinary actions HRCI or SHRM certification a plus (or the willingness to obtain one) Union experience a plus A background check and drug screening will be conducted for this position.
