General Summary:
Peachtree Hills Place – The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in supporting the HR department’s daily operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This position ensures a smooth and efficient HR function, contributing to a positive workplace environment for our staff and exceptional care for our residents.
Essential Job Duties Recruitment and Onboarding:
Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates. Coordinate onboarding processes, including new hire orientation, training schedules, and necessary paperwork. Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
Associate Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for associate inquiries and concerns. Facilitate conflict resolution and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures. Promote a positive work environment through engagement activities and initiatives. Supervises and Coaches HR Coordinator.
Performance Management:
Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal systems. Provide support and training to managers on performance evaluation processes. Monitor and track associate performance and address any issues or concerns.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and uptodate Associate records, including personal information, job history, and performance data. Prepare and submit required HR reports and documentation. Conduct regular file audits and maintain company compliance. Assist crossdepartmental payroll processes.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of training programs. Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts. Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements.
Benefits Administration:
Assist in the administration of associate benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Provide information and support to associates regarding benefit options and enrollment. Participate in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects. Support organizational change and development efforts. Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR. 35 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HRBP or similar role. Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. Certification (e.g., SHRMCP, PHR) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
The HR Generalist will work in an office environment within the community. Regular interaction with staff, Members, and external stakeholders. Must be able to handle a fastpaced work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
