The Opportunity
Smurfit Westrock is looking for a dynamic, results-driven project manager who can understand and integrate business strategy, talent and inclusion strategy, and workforce dynamics to enable Smurfit Westrock to execute its priorities.
This exciting career opportunity will utilize the successful candidate’s project management experience to manage andmercialize Talent & Inclusion solutions for Smurfit Westrock’s North America region.
The incumbent will report to the Talent & Inclusion VP for North America and partner tomercialize talent strategies across the business. Success will be measured by the adoption of Smurfit Westrock’s talent and inclusion processes and oues related to talent management, learning and development, talent acquisition, and inclusion.

Responsibilities:

As the Project Manager, Talent & Inclusion you will:
Manage andmercialize Talent & Inclusion COE projects and programs.
Manage stakeholders and business owners effectively – ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, and key result targets.
Be an excellent problem solver by iterating people and process aspects of each project until desired results are achieved.
Be fluent in data and analytic needs and partner effectively with data analytics teams to generate needed insights for workstream objectives.
Partner effectively to scale projects across Smurfit Westrock’s North America region.
Foster excellent program management and advance standard methodologies by following and continuously improving project, program and portfolio frameworks based on industry best practices.
Continuously grow your skill set in and exhibit operational excellence leadership in process improvement (ex: Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking, TQM)
Be a role model of relentless prioritization, partnership, and a no limits mindset.
Design and deliver programmunications and presentations to all management levels.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience preferred.
5+ years of progressive business experience with progressive responsibility in a fast-paced work environment.
Preferred process and program management certifications in Project/Program Management such as PMP, Certified Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking training and transformation-based experience.
Quick pace, self-starter, able to learn and iterate quickly.
Proven ability to create, follow and improve processes.
Intermediate to advanced skill in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Outlook.
Intermediate skill in Product Development, Project Management and Business Analysis tools: such as Microsoft Project, Visio, and Copilot.
Experience leading projects/workstreams with or without direct reporting authority utilizing best practice frameworks and tools.
Ability and desire to manage multiple projects and deliverables and make sound decisions while meeting tight deadlines.
Superior verbal and writtenmunication skills.
Ability to problem solve and bring timely resolution to escalations.
Excellent attention to detail and quality.
