Our work is underpinned by national welcoming networks, certifications, and standards- all supporting local multi-sector leaders with the good practices and tools they need for community-led solutions. The Welcoming International Alliance, present in more than 650 communities across the globe Field building through Welcoming Week Global peer learning opportunities for local leaders during the Welcoming Interactive and our online learning offerings Description Welcoming America is seeking a highly motivated and relationship-oriented Welcoming International Contractor to join our team. The contractor will be responsible for convening and supporting Welcoming Week implementing organizations – national civil society organizations and governments outside the U.S. leading the implementation of the Welcoming Week campaign within their countries through communications, partner engagement, and support to local event hosts. Core responsibilities for the Welcoming International Contractor will include planning and facilitating group meetings for Welcoming Week implementing organizations, preparing supporting documents, providing information to other interested global entities, and compiling a data report summarizing learning and evaluating the support provided. The goal of this position is to ensure that Welcoming Week implementing organizations and other interested global entities have easy access to the tools and good practice for activating the campaign. This position also enhances internal learning at Welcoming America and ensures continuous improvement as Welcoming Week grows globally.

Key Responsibilities:

Convene and Support national Welcoming Week (WW)

Implementing Organizations:

Be the main point of contact for national WW lead implementing organizations’ questions about WW, liaising with WA team as necessary for responses and information to forward to all implementing organizations. Plan and facilitate one pre-WW and one post-WW virtual group meeting for national WW implementing organizations, including both national NGOs and national governments. Develop supporting documents for each meeting including pre-meeting materials, presentation deck, and post-meeting notes and resources. Attend regular internal Welcoming America WW committee meetings for bidirectional updates on WW timeline, partner requests, and available materials. Support other global entities interested in

WW:

Respond to requests for information from other global entities, e.g. local governments, local NGOs, and national organizations or governments interested in launching WW. Communication will be by email and in online meetings. Schedule and conduct up to 3 introductory online presentations with potential national WW partners in Mexico or other countries. Track requests and communication.

Evaluation:

Evaluate support to WW implementing organizations via the post-WW meeting and a survey. Compile a data report summarizing WW global partner insights, providing clear, actionable recommendations for WW 2026. Provide up to one set of revisions to the report. Present findings to the WA Welcoming International & External Affairs teams.

Qualifications:
Knowledge and Experience:

Proven experience in global strategic partnership management and evaluation, preferably within government or non-profit sectors. Strong understanding of migrant inclusion and welcoming practices in community development. Familiarity with global campaigns.

Skills and Abilities:

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with and adapt support for diverse stakeholders including national government and NGO partners. Strong facilitation skills, including familiarity with using simultaneous interpretation services in Zoom meetings. Excellent writing and analytical skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured reports. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Professional-level fluency in English required. Professional-level fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.

Target Contract Period:

June 2, 2025 – October 31, 2025 Travel The Welcoming International Contractor position will not require any travel. Payment Please include your hourly rate in your application. Expected total hours are up to 120 hours.
