Job Summary:
- Global Expedited Transportation Freight Corp (an affiliated Company of Hyundai Glovis) is a fast-growing trucking company focusing on Container Dray Operations out of the port of Mobile, AL/ Savannah, GA, and looking for a skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources management, recruitment, and employment labor law. The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting HR functions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Implement the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring accurate entry into HRIS and payroll systems.
- Conduct offboarding procedures in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Process weekly driver payroll, reviewing submissions and inputting withholding, reimbursement, and deductions.
- Administer employee benefit programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain HR records and documentation, including employee records and Driver’s Qualification files.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquires and issues.
- Support compliance efforts with FMLA, EEO, DOT and other employment laws
- Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and grievances.
- Perform regular audits to ensure employee files are in compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Coordinate company events such as picnics, holiday events, and team-building activities to engage the workforce.
- Assist with HR policy development and implementation.
- Assist the implementation of new HR system as needed.
- Handle federal/state department inquiries and respond to agency requests.
- Provide administrative support as needed.

Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience in human resources management
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with HR software such as BambooHR, and TenStreet
- Strong knowledge of employment labor law and regulations
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
