Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with recruiters to screen and interview candidates. Manage the onboarding process, prepare offer letters, coordinate prescreening, initiate IT new user setup, and conduct new employee orientation. Handle disciplinary actions and terminations in a fair and consistent manner. Manage the offboarding process, conduct exit interviews, retrieve property/equipment, and process the necessary paperwork. Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures. Support staff members with HR-related issues and concerns, including compensation, benefits, rewards and recognition, vacation, misconduct, and problem resolution. Assess potential options with insurance brokers to facilitate benefits programs, oversee the enrollment process, and provide employees with information on plan choices. Approve and submit hourly employee time in the payroll system while collaborating with the finance team to ensure proper payroll, federal and state tax deductions, and benefit deductions. Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and multi-state hiring processes. Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations. Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities. Coordinate with the 401(k) administrator for reporting compliance and notices to employees. Plan and coordinate monthly company events to enhance employee communication and teamwork. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records and data. Oversee all administrative aspects of the safety program, advising on provisions to minimize safety risks, developing and enforcing policies, assisting with accident investigations, and maintaining records of safety-related incidents. Supervise and administer company vehicles, including obtaining quotes for vehicle procurement, ensuring driver safety measures, and enforcing policy protocols. Collaborate with insurance brokers for the annual renewal of various insurance plans (health, general liability, commercial property, cargo, auto, WMC, cyber coverage). Oversee compliance with Annual WMC audits, 401(k) filings, and Health Insurance filings. Coordinate with IT teams to set up new users in the system and order new user equipment. Collaborate on IT projects, including server room additions/changes and office setups.

Qualifications/Requirements:

3-5 years of experience in HR, ideally with a focus on areas such as employee relations, performance management, payroll, benefits, and employment law. Proficient in MS Office and Outlook. Knowledge of Paychex and Employee Navigator is a plus. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen effectively and verbalize ideas clearly. Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate employees. HR Certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) are a plus.
