Dublin, GA The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia’s People & Culture team is seeking a dynamic and resourceful individual to serve as our next People & Culture Generalist! The People & Culture Generalist will support a broad range of human resources functions with a primary focus on recruitment/talent acquisition. This role will be instrumental in driving human resource initiatives, ensuring compliance, and enhancing employee engagement. The People & Culture Generalist will focus on key areas such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR process improvements, and policy compliance. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded HR professional with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture. The People & Culture Generalist will report to the Manager, People & Culture. Responsibilities of the
People & Culture Generalist:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding (60%): Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers Develop recruitment advertising/marketing material to attract top quality candidates Partner with department managers to create detailed job descriptions and establish hiring criteria Identify and apply effective recruiting methods tailored to the role, industry trends, and organizational needs Screen applications to select qualified candidates Coordinate interviews, including scheduling, preparing interview questions, and related materials Support and participate in interviews alongside managers, directors, and all other stakeholders Collaborate with hiring managers and the people & culture team to finalize offers, including salary recommendations, incentives, start dates, and other key details Administers pre-boarding tasks such as background checks, drug screenings, and ID badge creation to ensure a smooth onboarding experience Represent the organization at recruitment events, including college job fairs and hiring events General People & Culture Duties (40%): Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures Support leadership with performance management processes, including coaching and disciplinary actions Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement and retention strategies Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and organizational policies Maintain employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality Assist in policy development and updates to align with best HR practices and business needs Support HR process automation and utilization of HRIS for tracking performance, leave, and training records Assist in benefits administration, including open enrollment, ACA compliance, and employee inquiries Partner with Training & Development Specialist to coordinate learning opportunities and leadership programs Performs all additional duties as assigned Here are some of the things we require: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Two (2+) or more years of experience in human resources, recruitment, or a supervisory/management role Knowledge of employment law, policies, and compliance requirements Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of professionalism and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Valid Georgia Driver’s License Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly Here’s what would put you over the top: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) or willingness to obtain Three (3+) plus years of experience in human resources and/or full-cycle recruitment Experience in recruitment within a high-growth organization Familiarity working in Healthcare, Non-Profit or Quasi-governmental sectors Benefits of Working with
