Overview
Job Summary
Provides Human Resource leadership and services to support the Corporate mission. Provides policy interpretation, information, counseling, and support to leaders, managers and employees in some or all of the following areas of employee relations, benefits, employment,pensation, payroll, worker’spensation, employee health and related Human Resource functional service areas. Reviews planned disciplinary actions proposed by managers, and makes appropriate rmendations based on current policy for investigation, documentation, and alternative considerations/actions. Cooperates with external customers, e.g. applicants, state/federal agency officials, labor counsel; identifies needs; collects, evaluates, and reports timely to inquiries; and, follows through to case closure. Rmends new/revised procedures and monitorspliance with policy, legal, and regulatory requirements to include Joint Commission and EEOC. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for recruitment needs for assigned area(s) to include internal transfers and bonuses.
- Perform tasks associated with employee relations such as investigations, coaching, counseling, terminations to include Problem Solving.
- Administers benefit plans.
- Assist HR management with the performance management process by responding to issues pertaining to pay andpensation.
- Completes assigned goals.
Specifications
Experience
Minimum Required:
3+ years directly related experience in a healthcare setting.
Education
Minimum Required:
Baccalaureate degree in Human Resources, business administration or related field. 2 additional years of HR experience can be substituted for the college degree.
Preferred/Desired:
Master’s degree in human resource management in Business Administration or related field.
Special Skills
Minimum Required:
Previous experience using automated HR/Payroll system. Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred/Desired:
Advanced Excel/formulas
Licensure
Minimum Required:
SHRM certification as SPHR or PHR is preferred.
