Description We’re seeking a dynamic and people-focused Employee Relations & Communications Specialist to serve as the go-to resource for frontline employee concerns and internal HR communications. This dual-role position plays a vital part in cultivating a respectful, transparent, and engaged workplace by managing employee relations issues and delivering clear, consistent messaging across the organization. You’ll be the first point of contact for employee relations matters—handling investigations, conflict resolution, and policy guidance—while also leading efforts to keep employees informed and connected through strategic internal communication initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations (Primary Focus) Serve as the go-to for front-line employee issues, concerns, and conflict resolution.
Lead fair, thorough, and confidential investigations into employee complaints and workplace issues.
Partner with managers to ensure consistent application of policies and coach them through difficult employee situations.
Track trends and identify opportunities for proactive employee engagement and risk mitigation. Employee Communications Develop and distribute internal communications including HR announcements, updates, newsletters, and engagement campaigns.
Partner with leadership to create communication plans that support new programs, policy rollouts, and organizational changes.
Support internal branding of the employee experience and promote HR initiatives across teams.
Help craft messaging that reinforces company culture, values, and transparency. Performance Management Support Conduct audits to ensure completion and accuracy of performance evaluations, 90-day reviews, and coaching documentation.
Provide guidance and reminders to leaders to help drive consistency and accountability in the process.
Support continuous improvement efforts by sharing insights and trends with the HR leadership team.
Qualifications Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years in an employee relations or HR-focused role (multi-site or front-line employee experience is a plus).
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and message for various audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
Highly organized with strong documentation and follow-up skills.
