Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Workforce Development Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a variety of individual services to the underserved population/sub-populations, and disproportionately affected individuals. Training topics include but are not limited to resume building, job interview prep, benefits management, GED prep, and life skills prep for people entering or re-entering the workforce. The goals of this position are to assist moderate to high risk, and formerly incarcerated individuals in order to help prevent them from recidivating. The Workforce Development Specialist will help match participants to employers, serve as a mentor and advocate for the participants, and will address all supervisory and performance issues with the participants. The specialist assist in developing soft skills for employment among the participants.. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive assessments to achieve individualized goals
- Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with potential clients
- Program development and implementation
- Collaborate with the supportive service team to develop customized solutions for clients
- Lead presentations and negotiations with prospective clients
- Work with individuals focusing on workforce development
- Utilize outreach techniques to attract referrals for service to the organization
- Educate clients on services offered and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human services, or related field
- Proven experience in business development, social work, or related field
- Strong understanding of addiction counseling principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
