Responsibilities:
Be an expert for employee relations across multiple franchise locations. Handle sensitive employee concerns and workplace conflicts with professionalism and fairness. Help create a healthy, positive work culture by mentoring leaders and promoting respectful, inclusive practices. Support store managers with coaching and guidance on performance issues, disciplinary actions, and team communication. Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws, from wage and hour requirements to leave policies and workplace safety. Regularly connect with store teams to build trust and support morale. Collaborate with HR and operations leaders to roll out employee engagement programs that make a real difference. Track trends in employee concerns and help develop proactive solutions to improve the overall work environment. Lead, support, and implement training sessions on workplace policies, employee rights, and leadership development. Travel regularly to store locations, offer in-person support, and deliver hands-on training. Qualifications Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in employee relations or HR generalist roles, ideally within fast-moving sectors such as food service, retail, or hospitality. Familiarity with labor laws and employment standards across Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont, or a strong willingness to quickly gain expertise. Ability and readiness to travel frequently within the four-state area to engage directly with various teams. Outstanding written and oral communication abilities, with the flexibility to connect effectively across diverse teams and leadership levels. Skilled at maintaining composure and confidence while communicating in challenging or sensitive situations, with all different types of individuals.
