Job Description

HR Generalist at Robert Half in York, Maine, United States Job Description Description We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team in York, Maine, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing various human resources functions, including onboarding, and administrative duties. Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Help organize new employee orientations to familiarize employees with company policies, benefits, and culture.
  • Oversee employee relations, addressing concerns and fostering a positive workplace environment.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, including FMLA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now to manage HR-related tasks and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Support administrative HR functions, including maintaining documentation and preparing reports.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews and supporting hiring managers.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to employees and management.
  • Monitor and address workforce development needs to enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment on HR strategies and goals. Requirements
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
  • Understanding of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage employee relations effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle onboarding and orientation processes for new team members.
  • Familiarity with recruitment practices and supporting hiring initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks.
