HRIS Specialist 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Graham, NC 27253 JOB The HRIS Specialist is responsible for data management, administrative management, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role will require a proactive and responsive approach to solve HR related issues and promote a positive and solid cultural environment. This position will serve as the technical first point-of-contact for the HR team on all HR related systems with responsibilities for training, evolving, and configuration of the Munis HRIS and Kronos/UKG platforms. The role requires discretion to work with confidential and sensitive issues on a regular basis while gaining the confidence and trust of employees throughout the County.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for accurate data entry and data integrity of all employee records within Munis, UKG, NeoGov, and other systems as applicable. Demonstrates a mastery of HRIS systems to identify business needs and process improvements, mainly NeoGov, Kronos/UKG, and Tyler Munis platforms, and knowledge of other governmental HRIS platforms/software.
Troubleshoots issues that may arise from various HRIS systems on any given basis; have the ability to navigate and be solution driven. Provides training and technical support to HR team members and County end-users on HRIS functionality and best practices. Serves as the SME for all HR information systems. Fields employee relations questions; assists employees with their inquiries.
Provides day-to-day support of routine HR administrative duties (maintaining employee records, producing employment reports, responding to employee verifications from various entities and agencies, etc..) Gathers, analyzes, prepares and shares data and department specific reports for various HR data that demonstrates trends and opportunities. Responsible for accurate data entry and data integrity of all employee related records into the HRIS and Kronos/UKG records.
Participates and completes HR reporting to state, federal and local programs timely and accurately. Stays up-to-date, informed and aware of changes in laws and compliance measures as they relate to employment. Participates in new hire orientations and/or training documentation for onboarding employees. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs. Providing interpretation and explanation of employee policies and procedures.
Assists with P-card processing for multiple HR budgets. Serves on various committees and special projects appointed by HR leadership. Establishes strong working relationships with the HR team and our county business partners to ensure HR support is aligned with the County’s priorities.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Education:
BS/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, Communications or relevant field required from an accredited college or university desired. Equivalent combination of experience and training may be substituted.
Experience:
Four or more years of progressive experience within HRIS systems preferably within the public sector and preferably with Munis and Kronos/UKG. Prior general Human Resources is required with at least two years of direct experience. Prior experience with implementing and integrating software is an asset.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint Experience) with mastery knowledge of Tyler Munis HRIS, payroll and/or Kronos/UKG timekeeping systems highly preferred.
License/Credentials:
Possession of a valid NC driver’s license, HRCI/SHRM certifications are an asset.
