Human Resources Generalist 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars Catawba, NC 28609 Our client in the Catawba, North Carolina area is currently seeking a skilled HR Generalist to join their team. This position plays a key role in supporting production operations by managing employee relations, assisting supervisors with performance and development strategies, and ensuring timely payroll processing. The HR Generalist will serve as a liaison between employees and management, helping to build a positive and productive work environment.
The Day-to-Day:
Provide guidance to production supervisors on employee performance issues, disciplinary actions, and professional development strategies. Support the preparation and submission of weekly payroll by ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with company protocols. Manage general casework, including case reviews and audits to ensure proper classification and adherence to company policies. Foster a strong workplace culture by developing and promoting employee engagement initiatives such as digital bulletin boards, recognition programs, and internal events. Act as a primary point of contact for hourly production employees, assisting with questions related to compensation, benefits, schedules, and workplace policies. Maintain clear and consistent communication across departments through bulletin boards, written memos, meetings, and other communication channels. Address and resolve employee concerns, including work complaints, policy inquiries, and allegations of misconduct or harassment, with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment Certified forklift operator preferred Strong understanding of HR policies, employment law, and best practices Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
