We produce, from natural, artificial, and synthetic fibers, including aramids, a wide variety of technical textile yarns intended for manufacturers serving the military, worker protection, industrial, medical and sportswear sectors. With the recent acquisition of our new plant in North Carolina (FilSpec USA), we are seeking an Human Resources Generalist who is fully bilingual in English and Spanish to join our growing team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and expanding company.
Position Summary:
The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting all aspects of Human Resources functions, including employee relations, payroll, recruitment, health and safety, compliance, training, and day-to-day HR operations. This position requires strong knowledge of U.S. and North Carolina labor laws , excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering a positive and safe work environment in a diverse, manufacturing-focused organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & HR Support
- Serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and address employee concerns in a timely, professional, and confidential manner.
- Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate actions.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture. Payroll & HRIS
- Administer accurate and timely processing of payroll using ADP.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and ensure accurate recordkeeping. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for hourly and salaried positions: sourcing, interviewing, extending offers, and onboarding.
- Develop job postings and recruitment strategies targeting a bilingual workforce.
- Coordinate and lead new hire orientations and onboarding programs. Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain compliance with all applicable labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, OSHA, EEO, NC labor regulations, etc.).
- Prepare required reports for internal and external compliance (EEO-1, ACA, OSHA logs, etc.).
- Assist in developing, updating, and communicating HR policies, employee handbook, and procedures. Training & Development
- Support the development, coordination, and delivery of employee training programs, including safety training, skills development, and compliance education.
- Partner with leadership to identify and address employee development needs.
- Monitor and track training completion and maintain accurate training records. Health & Safety
- Partner with EHS and operations teams to support health and safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Assist in developing and conducting safety training programs and audits.
- Participate in accident investigations and recommend corrective actions to reduce workplace hazards.
- Promote a culture of workplace safety and employee well-being. General HR Administration
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and documentation.
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide HR support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual _ fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required. _
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources roles.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and North Carolina labor laws .
- Experience processing payroll and maintaining HRIS systems.
- Manufacturing or production industry HR experience is a plus.

Work Environment:
- This is an onsite position in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be comfortable interacting with employees on the plant floor as well as in the office.
- Occasional flexibility required to accommodate production schedules or HR-related activities.
