Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized HR Generalist to support our growing team. This role will oversee day-to-day human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and compensation and benefits administration. The HR Generalist will serve as a key resource for employees and leadership, helping to foster a positive and productive work environment aligned with Sterling’s culture and values.

Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment:

post jobs, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and onboard new hires Administer payroll and employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, and leave policies Serve as a point of contact for employee relations and support a positive workplace culture Maintain compliance with federal and state labor laws, including personnel records and reporting Assist with compensation, performance management and employee development initiatives Support internal communication strategies and engagement programs Assist with the development of HRIS systems that ensure data accuracy and confidentiality Coordinate annual open enrollment and assist with benefits education Assist with policy development, updates, and enforcement Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 3+ years of HR experience in a generalist or related role Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements Experience with HRIS platforms and benefits administration Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus Preferred Experience Background in events, hospitality, or creative service industries Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and employee engagement tools Experience working in a small to mid-size business with cross-functional teams Benefits at Sterling Events Group Competitive salary, based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short-term and long-term disability insurance Life Insurance 401(k) plan with company match Paid time off including vacation, holidays, and sick leave Professional development opportunities Fun, collaborative team culture with regular employee engagement events Make a lasting impact with a company that makes experiences unforgettable.
