The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive Human Resources services and professional duties in the Talent Management and Acquisition (TMA) group in human resources. This is accomplished by working with a team to provide HR services to assigned departments, hiring managers, and administrative staff with the hiring and recruitment process. This position specializes in recruitment, staffing, and employment related issues and tasks. Other duties include maintaining social media pages, tracking and documenting pre employment testing, report and metrics creation, coordinating special events, providing training, completing surveys, proctoring pre-employment assessments/tests, and other related human resources activities. Duties/Responsibilities Assist departments to solve issues related to requisition creation, approval of positions, posting of positions, manage applicant flow, interviewing process, conditional job offers, hire workflow, pre-employment processes/ testing, and onboarding. Provides professional human resource consulting services to departments by interpreting policies; assisting departments with recruitment, selection, and other HR functions; and counseling employees, hiring managers, and candidates on best practices. Submit, review, and document pre-employment testing and the testing results Post positions on employment websites and social media pages. Coordinate and attend job events, such as job fairs and local events to promote employment at the city. Entering and reviewing information into an Applicant Tracking System. Create and maintain reports, metrics, and related ad-hoc requests. Work with Talent Management and Acquisition (TM&A) team on developing best practices, streamlining processes, and delivering excellent customer service to hiring managers and department liaisons. Become the subject matter expert at employment related policies and process, employment best practices, and the applicant tracking system. Work with other HR areas on department projects and TM&A related issues. May develop and make presentations on various HR related topics. Consulting regarding hiring and recruitment processes: including reviewing interview questions, ensuring compliance with employment laws/policies, evaluating and analyzing recruitment data, and serving on interview panels. Preparing adverse action letters for review. Entering information and maintaining information systems and databases. Minimum Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree One (1) year of professional human resources experience. Additional Preferred Skills Degree in human resources or a directly related field. Experience working in recruitment, staffing, or employment areas within HR strongly preferred Experience consulting with hiring managers on recruitment and hiring best practices Knowledge of related employment laws Experience with reports generation and pulling recruitment analytics and metrics.
