Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join our Employee Experience & Talent team. In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for workplace concerns, employee conflict resolution, and policy guidance. You will help ensure a positive and compliant work environment by conducting investigations, advising leadership, and building trust with employees. This is a key position for someone who loves problem-solving, values fairness and integrity, and can handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted resource for employees and supervisors regarding employee relations issues, performance concerns, and conflict resolution. Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into allegations of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, or other policy violations. Partner with leaders and EE&T colleagues to develop corrective action plans, support coaching efforts, and ensure consistent application of policies. Maintain detailed documentation and reporting for all casework in compliance with employment law and internal policies. Identify trends and recommend strategies to promote a healthy workplace culture and reduce risk. Support policy development and facilitate employee trainings on topics such as conduct, communication, and performance management. Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and professionalism. Travel between locations may be required (SC, NC, & WV)
What You’ll Bring:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 5 years of EE&T experience, with at least 3 years focused in employee relations or investigations. Strong working knowledge of employment law, including FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and state-specific regulations. Excellent judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion, neutrality, and professionalism. HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) required. SHRM Workplace Investigation Specialty Credential strongly preferred. Experience in behavioral health, education, or residential treatment settings is a plus. Why Join New Hope?
