SGL Carbon’s North American Shared Services Center in Charlotte,North Carolina headquarters SGL Carbon, LLC in North America. TheShared Services Center is comprised of approximately 50 employeeswho support the SGL Carbon Business Units by providing qualityservices, leadership and accountability through excellence,teamwork, open and continuous communication, integrity and passionfor success. All key administrative functions are represented atthe Charlotte, NC site. Responsibilities will include acting as HRliaison to the HR Center of Excellence Digital Processes and Datafor HR business process integration with new software or upgradesto already existing software, optimizing performance of HRmanagement and HR systems by developing new or optimizing alreadyexisting HR processes, responsible for maintaining processdocumentation, execution of HR system and process training for HRcolleagues, compiling data and developing reports to supportperformance metric analysis and to support regulatory compliancereporting.
ABOUT THE JOB
This role is responsible for theconfiguration, implementation and upkeep of the HR Payroll, TIMEand Benefits systems, compliance reporting and HR strategies, toalign with the HR Groups goals and responsibilities. The FunctionalAnalyst analyzes business requirements, creates functional designdocuments, and performs ERP system configuration and customizationto provide system solutions for the HR Group. The FA is as anintegral strategic partner and business liaison in technologydecisions and provides all ongoing systems support. This rolefocuses on analyzing and improving HR processes and systemfunctionalities, such as data management, system enhancements,compliance and reporting, and issue resolution. The FA develops newprocesses based on technology solutions and optimizes alreadyexisting HR processes, they are responsible for maintaining processdocumentation, execution of HR system and process training for HRcolleagues, compiling data and developing reports and insights toguide HR strategies and decisions.
WORK YOU’LL DO
Business Supportand Technical Consulting:
Troubleshoots issues from internalcustomers regarding payroll, benefits, taxes, paid time off, systemaccess, and other human resource and payroll management issues.
Support HR IT organization with short- and long-term systemsobjectives. Maintain or Lead US Payroll, Benefits and Time systemrelated projects including system/module implementation, systemupgrade testing and rollouts, and system maintenance. Analyzeend-to-end complex HR, Payroll, Benefits and Time businessprocesses across HR business functional areas and implement andsupport integrated solutions. Responsible for the development andtraining documentation and system training for HR colleagues.
Responsible for the generation and of data necessary for regulatoryreporting related to EEO-1, Affirmative Action, California PayData, AAP and VETS and other external federal and state regulatoryreporting requirements. Responsible for prioritizing, coordinating,and managing

related user requests in coordination withGlobal Center of Excellence for Digital Processes and Data. Ensuressystem compliance with US data security and privacy requirements.
Advanced Reporting:
create and maintain HR reports, dashboards, andanalytics to provide accurate and timely HR/Payroll/Time data formanagement decision-making. Customize reports and dashboards tomeet the needs of various stakeholders. Identify areas for processimprovement within HR systems and recommend, design, and implementsolutions that enhance system functionality, streamline workflows,and improve the user experience. Collaborate with the IT departmentand vendors to ensure seamless integration of HR systems with othersystems and troubleshoot any technical issues.
Functional Analysis:
Automate/optimize Dayforce and SAP Payroll processes and analyzeupgrade impacts of SuccessFactors and Dayforce. Map businessrequirements to SuccessFactors and Dayforce system capabilities andconfigure to meet requirements. Review design and technicalspecification documents for alignment with business solution.
Perform complex configuration of Dayforce and SAP andSuccessFactors (for Payroll integration), perform quality reviewand testing activities. Additional Distinguishing Characteristicsof the

Able to analyze and design solutions independently evenon complex projects (Dayforce US Payroll, Benefits, Time, SuccessFactors HR data integration, SAP ERP Payroll integration) and otherrelated external systems. Develop a community that drives standardbusiness processes through the technology solutions. Demonstratebroad knowledge of industry best practices for ERP projects andsupport. This position also requires knowledge of businessprocesses for all corresponding HR business functional areas andintegration to other software solutions. Maintain industryknowledge of HR Payroll systems and understand futurecapabilities/roadmap of the utilized systems for HR, Payroll,Benefits and Time.
EXPERIENCE MA/MS
in Computer Science/Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent workexperience. Minimum 10 Years of experience with HR IS or HRsoftware experience. Self-motivated with ability to workindependently and solely responsible to support Payroll, Benefitsand Time systems Extensive participation in projects of highcomplexity or simultaneous participation in multiple projects ofmedium to high complexity Experience in Manufacturing industry(Hourly and union workforce) desirable. A Certified PayrollProfessional or Fundamentals of Payroll Certification a plus butnot required. Strong working knowledge of Excel and other MicrosoftOffice products. Ability to solve practical problems and deal witha variety of variables in situations where only limited standardsolutions exist. Ability to deal with competing priorities withtight deadlines. Solid HR Payroll Business acumen. SKILLS Abilityto collaborate, provide technical support, and train HR and Payrollcolleagues Exceptional interpersonal, organizational andcommunication skills Strong knowledge of US employment, wage andhour, benefit and labor laws and regulations. Ability to quicklylearn new software platforms Ability to read, analyze, andinterpret general business periodicals, professional journals,technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Experience inprocess documentation.

EC, SAPECC S/4
Hana Payroll integration, Abap, SF integration SAP CloudPlatform CPI Preferred – strong proficiency in integrations (API,EDI, flat-file processing) alongside troubleshooting and datamapping capabilities.
