P OSITION DESCRIPTION

Non-Exempt Reports to: Talent Development Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing training activities throughout the credit union. Identifies training needs and designs materials including audio-visual aids, manuals, workbooks, and scripts. Maintains and oversees training library resources. Assists with the preparation and implementation of large events. Conducts training and act as Back-up to branch operations at any CTFCU’s office for extended time frames. Assists with recruiting efforts for any open positions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed, and are subject to change: 1. Assumes responsibility for the development and implementation of effective Training planning policies, procedures, and programs. a. Designs and develops training procedures and programs. Directs the preparation of audio-visual aids, training manuals, scripts, and workbooks. b. Designs, develops and conduct orientation and training programs, as well as other types of staff development training. Demonstrate procedures being taught; monitor and test trainees to evaluate performance; conducts follow-up assessments to determine additional training needed. c. Assists branches with orientation support with all new hires and other training needs as directed by the Talent Development Manager while maintaining complete confidentiality as it relates to employee information. d. Evaluate training programs and services. Provides recommendations and suggestions for improvements. e. Executes a credit union intranet to assist with established training plans, employee benefits and manuals. f. Assists in the development of presentational materials for board functions and special employee events. g. Complies with all federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures, and processes, including (but not limited to) the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). 2. Assumes responsibility for the effective and efficient completion of Training functions. a. Ensures Credit union personnel are well-trained and effective in their respective positions. Ensures employee orientation, on-the-job training programs, and in-service activities are effective and appropriate. b. Ensures the maintenance of a Training Resources library and related audio-visual equipment. c. Coordinates, schedules, and directs training activities. d. Ensures training functions are completed in accordance with established programs and procedures. e. Performs and assists with training functions as required. 3. Assumes responsibility for ensuring that professional business relations exist with volunteers, vendors, and trade professionals. a. Ensures requests, questions, and problems are courteously and professionally resolved. Ensures communications are efficient and effective. b. Ensures the CTFCU’s professional reputation is maintained both internally and externally. 4. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with credit union personnel and with Management. a. Assists and informs departments as needed. b. Keeps Senior Management informed of training activities and of any significant problems. c. Completes required reports, records, and other documentation. d. Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required. 5. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. a. Writes and prepares training articles. b. Stays current on training programs and procedures. c. Ensures work area is clean, secure, and well maintained. d. Assist with recruiting efforts to support

HR. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS 1.

Employee training schedule is effectively prepared and executed. 2. Training courses offered to support the goals, objectives, and requirements of management. 3. Training facility details and arrangements are appropriately made. Computer equipment is set up appropriately. Training materials, arrangements, and fees are cost-effective and meet budget constraints. 4. Student enrollment is efficiently and professionally coordinated. Class sizes are appropriate. 5. Student records and test scores are carefully maintained and communicated. 6. Good relationships exist with outside service providers. 7. Management is appropriately informed of area activities 8. Recruiting efforts are timely and documented. 9. Exhibits ongoing commitment to the enactment of organizational core values.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in training and organizational development. Through knowledge of computer equipment setup and maintenance. Knowledge of computer applications used to generate training schedule. 2-3 years prior experience working in a Learning & Development environment Attention to detail and effective writing and verbal skills. Strong verbal and presentation skills Self-directed with the ability to meet project deadlines.
