Schedule:
This is an entry level, hourly position. Your typical schedule will be Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM . What you’ll be doing:
Creating Positive First Impressions Through Communication:
As the Onboarding and Credentialing Specialist, you’ll be the friendly face (and voice) for new hires, guiding them through onboarding with warmth, clarity, and efficiency. You’ll provide clear, professional communication with new hires, providers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding and credentialing processes. You’ll also be partnering closely with Talent Acquisition to seamlessly guide new hires through the transition from recruitment to onboarding.
Credentialing and Compliance Management:
You’ll be managing the credentialing process, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with state, federal, and payer requirements. You’ll also monitor licensure, certifications, and credentialing renewals to maintain continuous compliance and readiness for audits.
Organizational Excellence:
As the Onboarding and Credentialing Specialist, you’ll be maintaining and updating databases, tracking credentialing applications, managing both electronic and paper filing systems, and overseeing the completion and accuracy of new hire paperwork to ensure compliance with organizational standards. Administrative Support for
Orientation and HR Functions:
You’ll play a key behind-the-scenes role by coordinating the administrative details of new hire orientations, including scheduling, preparing materials, and managing logistics to ensure a seamless experience. You’ll support HR team members by handling interview scheduling, document preparation, policy updates, ordering food for events, and maintaining accurate records, helping to keep processes organized and efficient. Personal Touch:
While you’ll spend plenty of time ensuring processes run smoothly behind the scenes, you won’t be stuck in the office all the time! You’ll have the opportunity to travel to our various branches across our service area, providing an in-person HR presence to support staff. Plus, you’ll identify and address potential issues promptly, applying thoughtful solutions to keep everything on track. What we’re looking for:
Education :
High school diploma (or equivalent) required. A degree in healthcare, business, or a related field is a plus.
Credentialing Experience :
At least one year of credentialing experience is preferred, in any healthcare setting—provider, payer, facility, etc.
Tech-Savvy & Organized :
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. Experience with HRIS systems like ADP, or other software like Paradox AI, AwardCo, and Green Securities is a bonus.
Professional & Approachable :
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
