McCuiston Law Offices is a Cary-based law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services in corporate law, estate planning, real estate, and tax matters. We pride ourselves on our client-focused approach and a collaborative work environment. We are seeking a highly organized and personable HR Consultant to join our team on a part-time basis to support our firm’s growth and operational excellence.

Position Summary:

The HR Consultant will play a key role in managing various human resources functions for the firm. This position offers the flexibility of remote work with the requirement of attending key meetings and events in person. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in HR practices, capable of managing both people and projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition:

Assist in our recruitment efforts by screening resumes for various positions within the firm, identifying qualified candidates, and confirming they align well with our firm’s values.

Higher Education Outreach:

Represent McCuiston Law Offices at job fairs and other outreach events at local colleges and law schools to help attract top talent.

Firm Member and Project Management:

Act as a central point of contact for firm members regarding HR-related matters. Assist in the management of internal projects, ensuring timely completion and effective collaboration between members of the firm.

Scheduling and Coordination:

Assist with scheduling meetings, interviews, and firm-related events. Ensure all logistics are handled efficiently.

Employee Guidelines:

Assemble and refine our Standard Operating Procedures Manual. Gather information from firm members on standard procedures. Write clear, concise help articles with high attention to detail.

Consulting:

Provide expert consultation on HR-related best practices, compliance, and employee relations.

Requirements:

( Core traits and logistical needs for the role. ) Strong attention to detail and a high degree of responsibility. Personable demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A hardworking, proactive, and collaborative work ethic. Proven ability to work independently and manage your time effectively. Availability to attend in-person meetings in the Cary/Raleigh area as needed.

Preferences:

( These qualifications are not required but will give a significant advantage to your application. ) 5+ years working directly in the Human Resources field. SHRM-CP or

SHRM-SCP

certification. Technologically proficient, with the ability to learn and use HR software and online communication tools effectively.
