HR Generalist Employee Relations | Benefits Administration | Compliance We are partnering with a local dynamic and growing organization seeking a proactive and versatile HR Generalist to join their Human Resources team. This individual will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage multiple HR functions in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations, responding to inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism and confidentiality Support recruitment processes including posting jobs, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews Administer employee benefits programs and assist with open enrollment and benefits questions Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation and exit interviews Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS and personnel files Assist in implementing and improving HR policies, procedures, and training programs Coordinate employee engagement activities, wellness initiatives, and internal communications Generate HR reports and support audit and reporting requirements Collaborate with payroll and finance on employee data and compensation changes Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 2+ years of experience in a generalist HR role or equivalent Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems preferred Exceptional organizational and communication skills Ability to maintain discretion with confidential information Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
